Follow these steps to get perfect glow transfers every time.
Step 1: Position Your Design. Place your glow transfer where you want it on the garment. Make sure it lies flat before pressing. You can press across seams on hats and shirt sides. Use heat-resistant tape on curved surfaces to prevent shifting.
Step 2: Press and Peel. Set your heat press to 310°F with medium to high pressure. Press for 12 seconds using parchment paper or a silicone cover to protect your garment. Test one piece first to find your perfect settings.
Wait a few seconds, then peel the film. If parts don't stick, lay it back down and press again with more pressure and heat. Add 15°F increments until the transfer sticks completely. Repeated pressing won't damage glow transfers.
If your garment scorches, reduce pressure first. If scorching continues, keep lower pressure and reduce heat by 10-15°F. Practice helps you find the right settings for different materials.
Step 3: Final Press for Best Results. After peeling the film, cover your glow design with parchment paper and press for 15 seconds. This final press improves durability, makes the transfer softer, and reduces shine. This step ensures your glow effect lasts longer.
Care Instructions
Wash inside out in cold water for best glow longevity. Dry on low heat or hang dry. Standard washing works fine, but gentle settings make glow transfers last longer. The glow effect recharges with each exposure to light.
