Follow these simple steps to ensure proper adhesion of your UV DTF transfers.

Step 1 - Surface Preparation. Clean the application surface with soap and water or a 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water. A clean surface ensures better adhesion and longer-lasting results.

Place your cut transfer face down with the white backing facing up. Using the padded end of a squeegee, apply firm pressure over the entire design 2-4 times. Use extra pressure on thin lines and small text elements.

Step 2 - Transfer Preparation. Gently separate the two sheets, watching carefully to ensure the entire design lifts onto the top carrier sheet. For designs with thin lines or small text, peel slowly and deliberately. If parts don't lift, re-squeegee from behind and try peeling from a different angle.

Step 3 - Design Placement. Identify your placement area on the target surface.

• Small designs (4 inches and under): Place carefully using both hands for control
• Large designs (6 inches and larger): Start from one side and work across to reduce bubbles and avoid wrinkling

Leave a corner of the carrier sheet unattached for easy removal later.

Step 4 - Final Application. After positioning, firmly squeegee the design 2-4 times. Peel the carrier sheet slowly, watching to ensure all elements adhere properly. If any part doesn't stick, reposition the carrier sheet, re-squeegee, and try peeling from a different angle.

What surfaces can I apply UV DTF transfers to? 

UV DTF transfers work on most smooth, clean surfaces including laptops, water bottles, car windows, phone cases, metal, plastic, and glass. For best results, avoid textured or porous surfaces. Clean the surface before application for optimal adhesion.

How long do its transfers last outdoors? 

UV DTF transfers are designed to withstand outdoor conditions including sunlight, rain, and temperature changes. With proper application on a clean surface, they can maintain their vibrant colors and adhesion for extended periods, though longevity depends on specific environmental conditions.

Can it be removed?

Yes, UV DTF transfers can be removed, though they are designed for permanent application. Gentle heat from a hair dryer can help soften the adhesive for easier removal. Some adhesive residue may remain depending on the surface and how long the transfer was applied.

Do I need special equipment to apply UV DTF transfers? 

No special equipment is required. You only need a squeegee (included with orders) and a clean cloth for surface preparation. The application process uses pressure and proper technique rather than heat, making it much simpler than traditional DTF transfers.

Are UV DTF transfers waterproof? 

Yes, UV DTF transfers are waterproof and weather-resistant once properly applied. They can withstand washing, rain, and moisture exposure while maintaining their appearance and adhesion. Hand washing is recommended for items that will be cleaned regularly.
